Williams sisters to play doubles again
Venus and Serena Williams have announced that they will be playing doubles at the first Grand Slam
of the year, the Australian Open, after not teaming up for five years.
Without ever playing enough to have a ranking, the two sister have always been a force to be reckon with.
The fact that they always needed a wild card to compete in doubles competitions didn’t stop them from winning 6 Grand Slam titles, two in Melbourne, two in Wimbledon, one at the French Open and another one on home ground at the US Open.
Together they have also won the doubles gold medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney.

Until the new tennis season begins, Venus is traveling in USA promoting her clothing brand EleVen. In August, Venus Williams launched the footwear and accessories line, available at Steve & Barry’s stores, which represents the largest fashion collection ever released by a female athlete.
Also, the 4 times Wimbledon winner is celebrating her graduation from the fashion design school.
